Our Grant Program: An Introduction
Teachers! There are worlds of ideas out there — give yours a try! Apply for an Andover Fund for Education grant to put your great ideas into action for our Andover students.
We’re looking for innovative projects that make learning exciting! Just tell us what you want to do. Applications are due on October 15th & February 15th. Please read our guidelines carefully before submitting a grant proposal.
What We Fund
AFE's innovation grants are intended to promote educational leadership, creativity, and academic excellence by enabling teachers to put exciting ideas into practice. Projects should stimulate interest and development in math, science, language, reading, writing, social studies, history, or other core curriculum fields. Please note that we emphasize innovation and provide seed funding rather than continuing funding. For more information, click on "Guidelines and Application Forms," above.
What We Don’t Fund
AFE does not fund professional development for faculty. Applications limited to requests for funding to obtain materials or books linked to established programs are inconsistent with our goals and will not be funded.

Teacher and Community Feedback
"The Andover Fund for Education is a wonderful funding source where educators in our school community can go to for help to promote innovative programs. A resource like this is especially important in these tight budgetary times. I encourage you to show your support for the students of the Andover Public Schools with a generous donation to AFE."
- Diane Costagliola, President, AHS PAC
"The support and encouragement of the Andover Fund for Education helps teachers to go beyond the ordinary and provide students with experiences that we hope will be memorable and inspirational for them. We couldn't do this without your generous support."
- Mr. Daniel Miley, West Middle School
